The Brda stands betwen the Soča Valley and the broud Frulian Plan. Due to its exceptional position, at a location where two entirely different geomorphologic units meet. Brda has a special kind of landscape. The geological structure is typically transitional Dinaric, and the hills are aligned northeast-southwest. Although the climate is transitional sub-Mediterranean.
